Abstract

Nowadays, nanotechnology plays a major role in the food industry. During food processing as well as storage, the degradation or inactivation of the bioactive compounds in food is a common issue. The above-said issues can be overcome to a certain extent by introducing nanoencapsulation techniques, including preparation of nanoemulsion. Similarly, nanocomposite-based packaging technology is another emerging area in food preservation and storage.
