Abstract
The article discusses methodological approaches to the formation of general professional and professional competencies in students studying in the field of training 06.03.01 Biology. The discipline "Medicinal and Food Plants", as an elective discipline, is an element of the formation of individual learning trajectories and a related area of pharmacognosy in natural science education.
