Nano‐Biofortification of Cereal Crops

Abstract
Biofortification offers a sustainable solution to the global issue of micronutrient malnutrition by employing several techniques to increase the nutritional richness of cereal crops. Nanotechnology is an advanced innovation that can be incrementally applied in agriculture to increase crop resilience. The economic bioavailability of essential micronutrients, such as iron, zinc, vitamin A, and vitamin C, has been effectively established for biofortified types of fundamental cereal crops, such as rice, wheat, maize, and barley. Several nanoparticles, nanofertilizers, and nanoemulsions enhance this fortification process through a controlled and dynamic process.
