Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a revolutionary technology in the food packaging industry by enabling the development of intelligent, automated, and sustainable packaging systems. Modern food packaging not only protects food products from physical, chemical, and microbial contamination but also plays a vital role in maintaining food quality, extending shelf life, improving traceability, and enhancing consumer convenience. The integration of AI technologies such as machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, robotics, predictive analytics, and the Internet of Things (IoT) has significantly transformed traditional packaging practices into smart and interactive systems. AI-based packaging technologies utilize sensors, biosensors, RFID tags, imaging devices, and cloud-based m
