heat the oil to 300f. i use a deep fryer for more even cooking. once you open your can of biscuits, cut them into four equal pieces. i cut them like a pie. once you've cut all your donuts, drop them easily into the oil one at a time, try to avoid over crowding. also, drop donuts from close to the oil surface to avoid splashing yourself with the hot oil. they will cook for about 5-7 min. halfway through cooking flip the donuts. they will float and need to be turned over to insure cooking thoroughly. your donuts are done when they are a golden brown on both sides. i enjoy rolling my donuts in sugar and local honey that i melt together on the stove. easier ingredients are powdered sugar, brown sugar, sugar, or even honey without any cooking allows for the kids to get involved. be creative i have recently thought of using peanut butter, or nutella. only not sure how yet to pull that off. any ideas are welcome.... ;-)
